Conversion of a Former Restaurant into Two Flats, Glasgow
The Project Brief was to convert a vacant restaurant and associated bar into two flats. The flat at the front of the building was constructed over two levels, with living quarters on the main floor and two bedrooms and a family bathroom on the upper floor.
The building was constructed at the turn of the last century. During the refurbishment it was decided that original features such as sash and case windows, oak doors, facings and skirtings, elaborate cornicing and dado and picture rails should be re-instated.
The finishing quality was very high. New kitchens were of traditional style.
A gas burning feature fireplace was installed in the lounge.
The construction of the property was commenced in early May 2009 and was completed in August 2009.
